Architecture of Integrated Information Systems - ARIS Techniques

ARIS Techniques

ARIS varies three main perspectives of techniques. ARIS uses a modeling language known as Event-driven Process Chains (EPC), which is an important aspect of the ARIS-model. EPC is the center of the House of ARIS and connects all other views, as well as describes the dynamics of the business process.

It differs from swim lane because it is process oriented and swim lane is function oriented. On the other hand, based on the conceptual description, ARIS can model and structure Business Process Models.

Furthermore, ARIS House has been developed to implement business models in information systems.

Famous quotes containing the word techniques:

The techniques of opening conversation are universal. I knew long ago and rediscovered that the best way to attract attention, help, and conversation is to be lost. A man who seeing his mother starving to death on a path kicks her in the stomach to clear the way, will cheerfully devote several hours of his time giving wrong directions to a total stranger who claims to be lost.
    John Steinbeck (1902–1968)
