Antoine Equation - Extension of The Antoine Equations

Extension of The Antoine Equations

To overcome the limits of the Antoine equation some simple extension by additional terms are used:

The additional parameters increase the flexibility of the equation and allow the description of the entire vapor pressure curve. The extended equation forms can be reduced to the original form by setting the additional parameters D, E and F to 0.

A further difference is that the extended equations use the e as base for the exponential function and the natural logarithm. This doesn't affect the equation form.

Famous quotes containing the words extension of the, extension of, extension and/or antoine:

The desert is a natural extension of the inner silence of the body. If humanity’s language, technology, and buildings are an extension of its constructive faculties, the desert alone is an extension of its capacity for absence, the ideal schema of humanity’s disappearance.
    Jean Baudrillard (b. 1929)

The medium is the message. This is merely to say that the personal and social consequences of any medium—that is, of any extension of ourselves—result from the new scale that is introduced into our affairs by each extension of ourselves, or by any new technology.
    Marshall McLuhan (1911–1980)

The motive of science was the extension of man, on all sides, into Nature, till his hands should touch the stars, his eyes see through the earth, his ears understand the language of beast and bird, and the sense of the wind; and, through his sympathy, heaven and earth should talk with him. But that is not our science.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

“Come, boys, I know there’s kindly hearts among so good a
    crowd—
To be in such good company would make a deacon proud.
    —Hugh Antoine D’Arcy (1843–1925)
