Anglian Water is a water company that operates in the East of England taking its name from East Anglia so including Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire and covering Lincolnshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, a small part of north Nottinghamshire and Greater London around Upminster as a supply area for fresh water alone. Anglian's catchment area for wastewater is a wider area between the Humber and the east of the River Thames, including the River Great Ouse.
Anglian Water is regulated under the Water Industry Act 1991.
