Angereb River
The Angereb also known as the Bahr as-Salam is a river of Ethiopia and eastern Sudan, and one of the sources of the Nile. It rises near Daqwa, north of Gondar in the Amhara Region, flowing west to join the Atbarah River. The historic district of Armachiho is located along part of its flow.
The Angereb Dam spans the river, built in 1986 for water supply purposes.

Famous quotes containing the word river:
“The name of the town isnt important. Its the one thats just twenty-eight minutes from the big city. Twenty-three if you catch the morning express. Its on a river and its got houses and stores and churches. And a main street. Nothing fancy like Broadway or Market, just plain Broadway. Drug, dry good, shoes. Those horrible little chain stores that breed like rabbits.”
—Joseph L. Mankiewicz (19091993)
