Anderson Bay

Anderson Bay is a bay of Atlin Lake in northwestern British Columbia, Canada, located southwest of Pike Bay.

The landscape surrounding Anderson Bay lies in the Atlin Volcanic Field of the Northern Cordilleran Volcanic Province. During the Miocene period, a basaltic lava flow engulfed the southern end of Anderson Bay. Remnants of this lava flow are present as columnar-jointed lava flows.

Famous quotes containing the words anderson and/or bay:

Oh, God, why do they do this to us? We only wanted to live, you and I. Why should they send us out to fight each other? If we threw away these rifles and these uniforms, you could be my brother.
    —Maxwell Anderson (1888–1959)

The very dogs that sullenly bay the moon from farm-yards in these nights excite more heroism in our breasts than all the civil exhortations or war sermons of the age.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
