Early Modern Humans
The Omo, Hertho, Skhul, and Jebel Qafzeh remains are sometimes referred to as "Early Modern Humans" because their skeletal remains exhibit a mix of archaic and modern traits. Skhul V, for example, has prominent brow ridges and a projecting face. However, the brain case of Skhul V is distinct from that of the Neanderthals and is similar to the brain case of modern humans.
In Europe, the early modern humans were the Cro-Magnon.

Famous quotes containing the words early, modern and/or humans:
“Although good early childhood programs can benefit all children, they are not a quick fix for all of societys illsfrom crime in the streets to adolescent pregnancy, from school failure to unemployment. —Barbara Bowman (20th century)
“If you look at the 150 years of modern Chinas history since the Opium Wars, then you cant avoid the conclusion that the last 15 years are the best 15 years in Chinas modern history.”
—J. Stapleton Roy (b. 1935)
“The land is the host and humans merely guests.”
