American Nazi Party

The American Nazi Party (ANP) was an American political party founded by George Lincoln Rockwell. Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, Rockwell initially called it the World Union of Free Enterprise National Socialists (WUFENS), but later renamed it the American Nazi Party in 1960 to attract maximum media attention. The party was based largely upon the ideals and policies of Adolf Hitler's NSDAP in Germany during the Third Reich but also expressed allegiance to the Constitutional principles of the U.S.'s Founding Fathers. It also espoused Holocaust denial.

Famous quotes containing the words american, nazi and/or party:

Because there is very little honor left in American life, there is a certain built-in tendency to destroy masculinity in American men.
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)

Humor is not a mood but a way of looking at the world. So if it is correct to say that humor was stamped out in Nazi Germany, that does not mean that people were not in good spirits, or anything of that sort, but something much deeper and more important.
    Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889–1951)

It is the dissenter, the theorist, the aspirant, who is quitting this ancient domain to embark on seas of adventure, who engages our interest. Omitting then for the present all notice of the stationary class, we shall find that the movement party divides itself into two classes, the actors, and the students.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
