Alfredo Stroessner

Alfredo Stroessner Matiauda (also Strössner or Strößner; November 3, 1912 – August 16, 2006), was a Paraguayan military officer and the country's president from 1954 to 1989. His lengthy rule was the 15th-longest ever by state leaders other than monarchs.
