Alcimus (from Greek Alkimos (Ἄλκιμος), "valiant" or Hebrew Elyaqum, "God will rise"), also called Jacimus, or Joachim (Ἰάκειμος), was a High Priest of Israel for three years, 162 BCE-159 BCE, who espoused the Syrian cause.
