Alabama (song)
Alabama is the state song of Alabama. It was written by Julia Tutwiler and composed by Edna Gockel-Gussen and adopted in 1931. The last verse is traditionally sung slower and softer, but that is not always the case.
The Alabama state song is sung at the Alabama All-State festival each year by students grade 7 to grade 12.
