Legacy
Smedley is a featured figure on Judy Chicago's installation piece The Dinner Party, being represented as one of the 999 names on the Heritage Floor.
In 1992, a musical theatre production entitled "A Smedley of Revolution" was commissioned by the Theatre Faculty of the University of Melbourne from the Australian writer Tania Peitzker. Peitzker based her manuscript on the novels, travelogues and biographies of Agnes Smedley.
