Additional Information
- The album is named "90 Millas" (trans: 90 Miles) because that is the distance between the island of Cuba and Key West.

- In an interview held in New York, Estefan mentioned that she felt Celia Cruz's spirit and presence while recording the songs for the album. She lamented Cruz's death as having her be a part of the album would have been very special to both of them.
- Of all of Estefan's Latin albums, 90 Millas peaked the highest on the U.S. Billboard Top 200, reaching #25. Her others were: Mi Tierra (#27), Abriendo Puertas (#67) and Alma Caribeña (#50). However, Mi Tierra remains her best-selling Latin album.

Famous quotes containing the words additional and/or information:
“The mere existence of an additional child or children in the family could signify Less. Less time alone with parents. Less attention for hurts and disappointments. Less approval for accomplishments. . . . No wonder children struggle so fiercely to be first or best. No wonder they mobilize all their energy to have more or most. Or better still, all.”
—Adele Faber (20th century)
“The information links are like nerves that pervade and help to animate the human organism. The sensors and monitors are analogous to the human senses that put us in touch with the world. Data bases correspond to memory; the information processors perform the function of human reasoning and comprehension. Once the postmodern infrastructure is reasonably integrated, it will greatly exceed human intelligence in reach, acuity, capacity, and precision.”
—Albert Borgman, U.S. educator, author. Crossing the Postmodern Divide, ch. 4, University of Chicago Press (1992)
