Famous quotes containing the words order, battle and/or war:

I write poetry in order to live more fully.
    Judith Rodriguez (b. 1936)

Up from the South at break of day,
    Bringing to Winchester fresh dismay,
The affrighted air with a shudder bore,
Like a herald in haste, to the chieftain’s door,
The terrible grumble, and rumble, and roar,
Telling the battle was on once more,
    And Sheridan twenty miles away.
    Thomas Buchanan Read (1822–1872)

There are not fifty ways of fighting, there’s only one, and that’s to win. Neither revolution nor war consists in doing what one pleases.
    André Malraux (1901–1976)
