88 Precepts is an essay or manifesto written by David Lane, a member of the white nationalist revolutionary organization The Order. Written while Lane was serving a 190-year prison sentence, 88 Precepts is a guide for securing, protecting, preserving and establishing a white society. and is an expansion upon Lane's own Fourteen Words. 88 Precepts is commonly used by white supremacy groups and those who advocate white nationalism and separatism.
The number "88" is also used by neo-Nazis to represent "Heil Hitler", as "H" is the eighth letter of the alphabet.
Famous quotes containing the word precepts:
“What avails it that you are a Christian, if you are not purer than the heathen, if you deny yourself no more, if you are not more religious? I know of many systems of religion esteemed heathenish whose precepts fill the reader with shame, and provoke him to new endeavors, though it be to the performance of rites merely.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
