80/20 Thinking's CEO Simon Davies, is also founder and director of Privacy International, one of the leading privacy advocacy bodies. This dual role has been the cause of some public controversy (see below).
80/20 Thinking (occasionally truncated to "80/20") also comprises an advisory group including Sir Howard Davies, Director of the London School of Economics, security expert Bruce Schneier, the Earl of Northesk, the Countess of Mar, and business leaders such as Ray Stanton, Global Head of Security Business & Continuity for British Telecom.
The enterprise did not seek startup funding or investment, and was entirely financed by the founders.

Famous quotes containing the word people:
“We seldom find people ungrateful so long as we are in a condition to render them service.”
—François, Duc De La Rochefoucauld (16131680)
“The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth. A Galileo could no more be elected President of the United States than he could be elected Pope of Rome. Both posts are reserved for men favored by God with an extraordinary genius for swathing the bitter facts of life in bandages of soft illusion.”
—H.L. (Henry Lewis)
“Someday soon, we hope that all middle and high school will have required courses in child rearing for girls and boys to help prepare them for one of the most important and rewarding tasks of their adulthood: being a parent. Most of us become parents in our lifetime and it is not acceptable for young people to be steeped in ignorance or questionable folklore when they begin their critical journey as mothers and fathers.”
—James P. Comer (20th century)
