"7 Day Weekend" was recorded by Grace Jones in 1992 for the soundtrack for the Eddie Murphy movie Boomerang, in which Jones played the character Helen Strangé. The song was written by Jones herself, Dallas Austin, and Satch Hoyt, and produced by Austin with Randy Ran, with executive production by Babyface and L.A. Reid. The single featured remixes by among others Dallas Austin and Ben Liebrand.
