His shot was clocked at 102.1 miles per hour. Boston Bruins' Bill Guerin won the Fastest Skater event with a time 13.69 seconds. Famous quotes containing the words skills and/or competition:

In the middle years of childhood, it is more important to keep alive and glowing the interest in finding out and to support this interest with skills and techniques related to the process of finding out than to specify any particular piece of subject matter as inviolate.
    Dorothy H. Cohen (20th century)

Such joint ownership creates a place where mothers can “father” and fathers can “mother.” It does not encourage mothers and fathers to compete with one another for “first- place parent.” Such competition is not especially good for marriage and furthermore drives kids nuts.
    Kyle D. Pruett (20th century)
