5-MeO-DALT is unscheduled in the United States. It is also legal in the UK because the allyl group is not an alkyl group, which the law requires for a tryptamine to be illegal. 5-MeO-DALT became a controlled substance in Japan from April 2007, by amendment to the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law.
