Famous quotes containing the words golden and/or globe:
“Moderation has been called golden by all the sages, which is to say precious, praised by all, and everywhere laudable. Go through the Bible: you will discover that those who requested moderation never had their prayers rejected.”
—François Rabelais (1494–1553)
“The hand that signed the paper felled a city;
Five sovereign fingers taxed the breath,
Doubled the globe of dead and halved a country;
These five kings did a king to death.”
—Dylan Thomas (1914–1953)
