3895 Earhart (1987 DE) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on February 23, 1987 by Carolyn S. Shoemaker at Palomar Observatory. It was named in 1995 for Amelia Earhart (1897–1937), a distinguished pioneer in the field of aviation.
