388 Charybdis

388 Charybdis is a very large main-belt asteroid. It is classified as a C-type asteroid and is probably composed of privitive carbonates.

It was discovered by Auguste Charlois on March 7, 1894, in Nice.

It is probably named after the monster in Greek mythology.
