The 314th Air Division (314th AD) is an inactive United States Air Force unit. Its last assignment was with Pacific Air Forces, based at Osan AB, South Korea. It became inactive in September 1986.
The unit's origins lie with the World War II 314th Bombardment Wing (314th BW), which was part of the Twentieth Air Force of the United States Army Air Forces. The 314th BW engaged in bombing operations against Japan using Boeing B-29 Superfortresses.

Famous quotes containing the words air and/or division:
“Mary, hear,
O Mary, marry earth, sea, air and fire;
Our sacred earth in our day is our curse.”
—Robert Lowell (19171977)
“Slow, slow, fresh fount, keep time with my salt tears;
Yet slower yet, oh faintly gentle springs:
List to the heavy part the music bears,
Woe weeps out her division when she sings.
Droop herbs and flowers;
Fall grief in showers;
Our beauties are not ours:
Oh, I could still,
Like melting snow upon some craggy hill,
Drop, drop, drop, drop,
Since natures pride is, now, a withered daffodil.”
—Ben Jonson (15721637)
