3097 Tacitus

3097 Tacitus is a main belt asteroid, which was discovered by Cornelis Johannes van Houten, Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld and Tom Gehrels in 1960. It is named after Gaius Cornelius Tacitus, the ancient Roman historian.
