300 Bowling and Entertainment Centers, a division of AMF Bowling Centers, Inc., is a bowling and entertainment concept that offers a variety of activities, with a focus on bowling, a full-service bar and a casual-dining menu—served in one of 300’s lounges or delivered laneside by waitstaff. As of 2007, there were six 300 locations throughout the United States based in Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Long Island, Manhattan and San Jose. Additional centers opened in 2008, including a location in the Anaheim GardenWalk.
300 differs from traditional bowling centers in that guests are checked in at a greeter stand, where they are assigned a lane and taken to the equipment room for shoes and a ball fitting the player. The group then is escorted to their lane, which is outfitted with an electronic scoring system and updated seating. As the group begins to bowl, the waitstaff is on hand to take food and drink orders. Items from the 300 Grill are prepared under the direction of an executive chef and range from salad options to specialty sandwiches. Lane captains are also available to assist with any special requests and equipment-related questions.
The 300 Centers also are equipped to handle large and small groups. Several offer private or semi-private meeting space and private bowling rooms. They also have on-site event planners to assist with the planning process and provide dining recommendations from the 300 catering menu.

Famous quotes containing the word centers:
“But look what we have built ... low-income projects that become worse centers of delinquency, vandalism and general social hopelessness than the slums they were supposed to replace.... Cultural centers that are unable to support a good bookstore. Civic centers that are avoided by everyone but bums.... Promenades that go from no place to nowhere and have no promenaders. Expressways that eviscerate great cities. This is not the rebuilding of cities. This is the sacking of cities.”
—Jane Jacobs (b. 1916)
