Route

The race began in Lisbon, Portugal, and passes through Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Mali and Senegal. The total race distance is 7,915 km, of which 4,309 km is timed special stage. There is a rest day in Atar, Mauritania on 13 January.
