  • This was Burton's final start for Roush Racing before moving to Richard Childress Racing at Michigan the following week after he signed a three-year contract with Richard Childress Racing just before the race at Watkins Glen. Carl Edwards will make his first career start in the #99 car while Burton will move to #30 car before moving again to #31 car for the 2005 season.
