2002 Belgian Grand Prix

The 2002 Belgian Grand Prix was a Formula One race held at Spa-Francorchamps on September 1, 2002. Ferrari dominated the race with their two drivers, Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello finishing in one-two formation. Williams-BMW driver Juan Pablo Montoya finished in third place. The second chicane in the Bus Stop corners was modified for the race, before both chicanes changed significantly for the 2004 Belgian Grand Prix.

Famous quotes containing the words belgian and/or grand:

This fat pistache of Belgian grapes exceeds
The total gala of auburn aureoles.
Cochon! Master, the grapes are here and now.
    Wallace Stevens (1879–1955)

There aren’t any good, brave causes left. If the big bang does come, and we all get killed off, it won’t be in aid of the old-fashioned grand design. It’ll just be for the Brave New-nothing-very-much-thank-you. About as pointless and inglorious as stepping in front of a bus. No, there’s nothing left for it, me boy, but to let yourself be butchered by the women.
    John Osborne (1929–1994)
