Medal Table
See also: Olympic medal tableThe medal table is based on information provided by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and is consistent with IOC convention in its published medal tables. By default, the table is ordered by the number of gold medals won by a NOC. The number of silver medals is taken into consideration next and then the number of bronze medals. If nations are still tied, equal ranking is given and they are listed alphabetically by IOC country code. Medals won in team competitions are counted only once, no matter how many athletes won medals as part of the team.

Famous quotes containing the word table:
“Language was vigorous because, because ... editors usually laid all the cards on the table so as to leave their hands ... free for more persuasive arguments! The citizenry at large retaliated as best they could.”
—State of Utah, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
