Famous quotes containing the words king and/or street:

    I know I have the body of a weak and feeble woman, but I have the heart and stomach of a king, and of a king of England, too.
    Elizabeth I (1533–1603)

    You had such a vision of the street
    As the street hardly understands;
    Sitting along the bed’s edge, where
    You curled the papers from your hair,
    Or clasped the yellow soles of feet
    In the palms of both soiled hands.
