007: Licence To Kill - BBC Micro Version

BBC Micro Version

This version was coded by Lore Games, subcontracted to Consul Technology of Merseyside, UK, subcontracted to Domark. It was based largely on the graphics from the Spectrum version, but with a freshly written sprite engine, character 'AI', sound effects and status display. It featured a double buffer screen refresh mechanism to eliminate flicker, and was available in cassette tape and floppy disc versions.

Famous quotes containing the words bbc and/or version:

To err is human, but to really foul things up requires a computer.
—Anonymous. quoted in “Quote Unquote,” Feb. 22, 1982, BBC Radio 4.

Truth cannot be defined or tested by agreement with ‘the world’; for not only do truths differ for different worlds but the nature of agreement between a world apart from it is notoriously nebulous. Rather—speaking loosely and without trying to answer either Pilate’s question or Tarski’s—a version is to be taken to be true when it offends no unyielding beliefs and none of its own precepts.
    Nelson Goodman (b. 1906)
